Social Media and The Impact on Adolescents
The Lakeside PTSA is partnering with Oak Grove United Methodist Church to present Anti-Social Media? Creating Safe Spaces in an Anxious Digital World on Monday, March 11 at 6:30 PM in the Lakeside High School Cafeteria. Parents of middle and high school students are invited to spend an evening exploring the range of social media and screen behaviors among adolescents, and will conclude with practical measures for increasing face-to-face engagement with peers and family for guiding your teen toward greater emotional well being and social contentment. Our speaker, Eliza Segell, is a licensed counselor with Care and Counseling of Georgia and a program director for social-behavioral research at Emory School of Nursing.
